Just today, 6th June 2012, a rare celestial phenomenon had taken place - the Venus Transit. Though it had occurred in 2004 but it would not be seen again till the next century! This was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime event! The world had prepared for it so much and to take a glance at this rare event audiences had swarmed up every mode of offering set up just for this event!
Special arrangements had been done, by many organizations (through temporary offerings - example: telescopes), for this rare and temporary event. Eclipse glasses, telescopes of varied sizes and reflection mirrors were arranged for evidencing this event. Schools, colleges, universities, social gathering places none were left unused. This event gave organizations idea to do arrangements for a temporary event and they created awareness within the customers by using the marketing tools (advertisement on local media).
They knew that this would draw a lot of attention since people would come viewing this event. Audiences came to experience this from the sunrise and mostly were welcomed with a better environment-friendly, safe, and mostly no disturbance in the utilities while viewing the event!
Thus, it can be seen that even a short-term event like this of some hours can give rise to business ideas and no wonder to some great services (which implants some great experiences within the consumers) and thus markets for the future!
