Rush Tennis Star Queen Maria SharaPova Launched her New Line of Candy called “SugarPova”

Maria Sharapova is all smiles at the launch of her new Sugarpova candy line at Henri Bendel on Monday (August 20) in New York City.

“I just wanted to write a little note to say thank you for the incredible support yesterday at Henri Bendel. I never expected to see so many fans and so much Sugarpova love! It seemed like the tennis gumballs were the clear winner as I think I signed more of those packages than the rest! Now it’s US Open time,” Sharapova wrote Tuesday on Facebook.

"Creating Sugarpova has been an exciting labor of love," Sharapova said in a statement. "My tennis and business schedules keep me traveling worldwide, and I confess to having a sweet tooth that knows what it wants!"

The line includes 12 kinds of candy, from tennis ball-shaped gum balls to sour jelly lips, with cute names like Smitten and Quirky. You can buy the sweets for $5 per bag from Henri Bendel stores.

The 25-year-old Olympic silver medalist and tennis player wore a custom made David Koma dress, vintage Sergio Rossi shoes, and Henri Bendel jewelry.
